PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Madden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutus Blackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blackson has chosen ABN - who's the man as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Blackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Blackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Madden's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Madden is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Blackson connects with a nice short shot to Madden's temple.

Blackson stands up and waves to Madden to follow him.

Madden shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Madden stuffs the takedown attempt from Blackson. Blackson gets slowly back to his feet.

Madden moves into the clinch.
Madden is pressed up against the cage. Blackson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Madden down to the mat. Madden avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Madden looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Blackson tries to get to full guard but Madden has control of the leg.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adrian Madden.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Madden, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
