The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pitoy throws a series of punches but Bender avoids them all with ease.

Bender lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pitoy circles away quickly and effectively.

Good leg kick by Bender there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Pitoy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bender manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Bender is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Pitoy lands a big head kick that sends Bender tumbling to the mat! Pitoy takes a step backwards and waves Bender back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bender throws a poor cross that misses
and Pitoy counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Bender badly! Pitoy follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Bender out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Pitoy finished him against the cage.
