Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brett Hartlock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hartlock comes to the cage accompanied by Shoot To Thrill by AC/DC. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hartlock connects with an inside leg kick.
Hartlock will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Hartlock lands with a kick to the temple. Souza shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Ronaldo Souza has been cut.

Hartlock shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Souza is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hartlock defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Souza is persistently looking for the submission but Hartlock is defending it well.

Souza is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Hartlock has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Souza's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Hartlock is holding on here and Souza must be using up a lot of energy. Hartlock has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Souza gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
