Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dwain Brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spencer Holland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dwain Brewer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Spencer Holland!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holland pushes Brewer up against the cage in a clinch.

Holland pulls guard.
Brewer is looking to work some ground and pound but Holland has wrist control.

Holland looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Brewer being controlled here momentarily.
Brewer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Holland is looking for a triangle but Brewer pushes his legs off easily.
Holland working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Brewer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holland controls Brewer momentarily but Brewer frees himself.

Brewer wants to stand and escape but instead Holland has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Brewer working for submissions but it's allowed Holland to get to half guard.
Well, if Holland is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
It looks like Holland might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Brewer avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Holland.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holland decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Holland is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Holland tries to close the distance and clinch but Brewer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Spencer Holland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brewer is trying to pull guard but Holland turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Brewer goes for a takedown in the clinch but Holland prevents it.
Holland tries to break free but Brewer pushes him back against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Holland.
Holland blocks an uppercut.
Brewer tries to pull guard but Holland forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dwain Brewer. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Brewer can't get the takedown.
Brewer is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Holland is defending well.

Holland tightens his grip and picks Brewer up, before dumping him to the ground. Brewer manages to land in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brewer is wriggling around but Holland manages to pass to half guard.

Holland thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Holland stands up and beckons Brewer to join him on the feet.

Holland instigates a clinch.

Holland manages to pull guard.
Holland is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Holland escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brewer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Holland seems keen to control Brewer's posture.

Holland working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brewer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brewer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Holland looking for a sweep. Not yet Holland, not yet.
Brewer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brewer wanted to stand there but Holland had control of the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Holland is on top in guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spencer Holland dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Brewer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Holland throws a one two combo.
Brewer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Holland.
As Holland looks to move away, Brewer throws a big counter combo but Holland just gets out of the way.
Brewer fails with an attempt to clinch.

Holland feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Holland passes into half guard.
Holland prevents Brewer from standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brewer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Holland controls the pace.

Holland stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Dwain Brewer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Holland rushes Brewer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Holland tries to circle away but Brewer has him pinned against the cage.
Brewer has Holland pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Holland manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Holland gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Holland looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Brewer is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Holland throwing shots but Brewer is blocking nicely.

Holland is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brewer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Holland.

Brewer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Holland pulls his head out easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Holland decides to stand up.
Brewer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Holland was well out of range. Poor timing from Brewer.
Holland wants to counter with a clinch but Brewer pushes him away.

Holland moves into range and clinches up with Brewer.

Holland is fighting off a takedown attempt but Brewer is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Holland to the mat. Holland regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Holland wriggles free and stands up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Brewer tries to bum rush Holland with a series of wild strikes but Holland uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Holland looking to score a takedown here. Brewer is defending well but Holland drives through and ends up in Brewer's guard.

Brewer pushes Holland off and scrambles back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brewer blocks a head kick by Holland.
A head kick by Holland misses
and Brewer counters with a left and a right that stings Holland.

Brewer closes the distance and clinches.

Holland escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brewer misses with an uppercut.
Holland tries a quick counter leg kick but Brewer is wise to it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Brewer enables Holland to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brewer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Holland has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Brewer is working an open guard so Holland takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Brewer throws a series of punches but Holland moves out of range.

Holland drops Brewer with a beautiful combination! Brewer stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Holland is looking for the KO!


Brewer is rocked!
Holland misses with a head kick.
Oh Brewer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Holland pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Holland closes the distance looking for a takedown. Brewer stuffs it but Holland still has hold of him. Holland picks Brewer up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Holland slams Brewer to the floor and that's really hurt Brewer - he doesn't know where he is! Holland throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Spencer Holland!
