The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shoyoroll dives in for a single leg takedown but Shaw sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Shaw bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We've been hearing good reports from Shoyoroll's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shoyoroll is trying to control Shaw's posture but Shaw avoids it.
Shoyoroll is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shaw has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Shoyoroll to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Shaw is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Shoyoroll pulls down on the head and he's put Shaw to sleep! This one is all over!
