Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roy Kannemeyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drako Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drako Bravo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Roy Kannemeyer's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roy Kannemeyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Drako Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kannemeyer dives in and grabs Bravo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bravo pushes down on Kannemeyer's head and hops out.
Bravo looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kannemeyer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bravo.
Bravo moves out of range as Kannemeyer throws a body kick.
Kannemeyer definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kannemeyer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Bravo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kannemeyer has his feet on Bravo's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Bravo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bravo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bravo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kannemeyer in his tracks.

Bravo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kannemeyer is looking to counter punch.
Bravo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kannemeyer eats them both and turns towards Bravo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

so Kannemeyer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Kannemeyer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bravo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kannemeyer is looking to work some ground and pound but Bravo has wrist control.
Kannemeyer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Bravo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kannemeyer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kannemeyer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bravo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Bravo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kannemeyer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bravo is looking for a triangle but Kannemeyer pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bravo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Bravo can't keep his opponent in guard - Kannemeyer advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Kannemeyer is going to stand back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bravo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kannemeyer's head.

Bravo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kannemeyer defends it well.

Bravo is working Kannemeyer over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

That was a close second round but I would say that Roy Kannemeyer will probably get the nod.

Bravo is in a horrible position here. Kannemeyer smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Kannemeyer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bravo can do to turn this around?

Kannemeyer is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Kannemeyer gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Kannemeyer gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Kannemeyer apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Kannemeyer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bravo is fending him off so far but Kannemeyer persists. Nope, Bravo circles away and we're back to standing.
