The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James swings for the body but Fitswell moves out of range.
Fitswell walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
James loads up on a big right hand but Fitswell slips the punch.
Fitswell lands a jab to James's midsection.
Fitswell throws a looping overhand right but James ducks down to avoid it.
James uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fitswell.
James avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fitswell looks to score with a jab to the body but James is just out of range.
James throws out a counter right but Fitswell avoids it with no problem.
Fitswell throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
James doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Fitswell scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Karl James has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
James misses with a left hand
and Fitswell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fitswell steps to the side to avoid the strikes from James.

Fitswell throws a series of strikes that have James backpedaling.

Fitswell gets cracked there but stands up to it.
James will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
James scores with a sloppy right hand. Fitswell should have avoided that one.
James throws a hook but Fitswell avoids it easily.
James throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fitswell takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Fitswell bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps James's head backwards.
Fitswell is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Fitswell comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

James swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Fitswell stuns James with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

James avoids a punch combination nicely.

Fitswell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
James misses with a double jab.
The fighters circling - James throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
James swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fitswell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That has opened up Karl James's cut even more.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Fitswell lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and James has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from James and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

James is rocked!

The cut above Karl James's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Fitswell avoids a punch combination nicely.
James lands a jab to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fitswell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
James throws out a counter right but Fitswell avoids it with no problem.
Fitswell connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

A big right from James misses.
James might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Fitswell looks to score with a jab to the body but James is just out of range.

Fitswell finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Fitswell connects with a good right hand that stumbles James. James circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
We've been informed that James has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Fitswell fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but James is out of range.
Fitswell is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Fitswell drops James with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but James looks back up at him and smiles so Fitswell waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
James is still on wobbly legs! Can Fitswell finish him?
Fitswell is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches James flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! James is out cold! Fitswell holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
