Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffry Serrano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvin Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calvin Shaw is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeffry Serrano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Calvin Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shaw throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Serrano tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Shaw is in Serrano's guard.

Serrano manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Serrano wants to break the clinch but can't.

Shaw has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Serrano uses from the top position.
Serrano seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Shaw wants to sweep but no luck.
Shaw has a closed guard, preventing Serrano from standing up.

Serrano has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Shaw is proving hard to escape from.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Shaw tries to free his leg and advance position but Serrano is retaining full guard.

Serrano decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shaw, up you get!
Horrible takedown attempt by Serrano or perhaps it was just good defense by Shaw, which made it look bad.

As Shaw tries to get set, Serrano tries to push him back and clinch up but Shaw manages to avoid the attempt.

Shaw manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Serrano on his heels. He'll look to pass Serrano's guard now, I'm sure.

Serrano is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Shaw looking to sit in guard and control but Serrano gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shaw can do anything to dispel that myth.

Shaw is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Serrano defends well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Serrano controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Shaw not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Serrano is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Serrano wants to stand but Shaw has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Serrano tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Shaw manages to move to mount!
Serrano tries to lock up and control but Shaw gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The referee warns Serrano that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shaw can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Serrano is looking to escape.
Shaw controlling the pace for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Calvin Shaw showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Shaw closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Serrano quickly recovers to half guard.
Serrano is staying active underneath Shaw, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Shaw seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Shaw throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Serrano has hold of Shaw's hands but Shaw slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Shaw is looking to take a break and control but Serrano is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Serrano looks like he's trying to stand up.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

and Serrano decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Shaw's guard.
Shaw controls Serrano momentarily but Serrano frees himself.

Serrano goes for a double leg but Shaw avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shaw continues to drive forward.
Calvin Shaw is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Serrano tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shaw swivels and escapes.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Shaw stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shaw wants it to stay on the feet.
Shaw changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Shaw has his foot on Serrano's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Serrano works his way back into a safe position though.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Serrano enables Shaw to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Serrano manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Calvin Shaw comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Shaw has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
