Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lorne Greenebaum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knowles Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lorne Greenebaum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Knowles Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jackson enables Greenebaum to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jackson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jackson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Greenebaum manages to get himself to full guard.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Greenebaum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Greenebaum is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Greenebaum is working for a submission of some sort.

Greenebaum is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Greenebaum has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Greenebaum seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Jackson is staying active underneath Greenebaum, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jackson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jackson tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Greenebaum landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Greenebaum is trying to control the action in half guard but Jackson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Jackson has hold of Greenebaum's hands but Greenebaum slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Jackson is looking to improve his position.
Greenebaum drops an elbow to the side of Jackson's head.


Jackson is rocked!
Greenebaum lands a big elbow - Jackson is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Greenebaum!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lorne Greenebaum!
Lorne Greenebaum decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
In defeat, Knowles Jackson stepped up to the mic, saying 'He got lucky. I was just caught slipping and I can only blame myself.'.
