Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Hayes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trey Brown!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Hayes.
Brown ducks under a wild hook from Hayes.
Brown uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hayes.
Brown changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Hayes moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Some bone on bone action there as Hayes checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Hayes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Hayes's corner calls for a 1-2. Hayes obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Hayes shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Brown shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Brown throws a leg kick but Hayes checks it.
Nice defenses there by Brown.
Hayes throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Brown on the side of the head.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Brown checks a leg kick.

Brown tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hayes swivels and escapes.
Hayes looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hayes crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Brown - the referee stops the clock and Hayes gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Brown. Hayes manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Hayes on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Brown. Brown obviously looking to wear him down.

Hayes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brown.

Brown fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hayes looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brown is doing well to control the position and prevent Hayes from advancing to side control.
Hayes has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Hayes misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Hayes goes for an armbar but Brown turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Brown.

Hayes wants to control the position but Brown says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Michael Hayes will probably get the nod.

Oooooh!!! Hayes has knocked Brown down with a huge combo! Hayes steps away and waves a wobbly Brown back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Brown has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

I would just about give that final round to Trey Brown.
I think Hayes has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
