The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A slow jab from Magomedov misses its intended target.
Hume lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Hume takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

We've been hearing reports that Magomedov has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Hume's coach down at Condor Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hume's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Hume tries to work over Magomedov's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

It looks like Sawyer Hume has been cut.
Hume is pressed up against the cage. Magomedov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hume down to the mat. Hume avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hume does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Magomedov half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Hume tries a head kick but it misses.
Hume pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Hume lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Magomedov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hume is trying to defend but Magomedov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Magomedov uses his free foot to push down on Hume's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hume.

Magomedov has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hume's face.

That was a close round but I would say that Konstantin Magomedov will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Magomedov shoots in for a double leg but Hume sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hume misses with a kick to the body.
Magomedov throws a low kick, looking for Hume's leg but Hume calmly moves out of range.

Hume fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Magomedov.

Magomedov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hume avoids it really well and circles away.

Hume manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Oooooh!!! Hume has knocked Magomedov down with a huge combo! Hume steps away and waves a wobbly Magomedov back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Hume tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Magomedov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Magomedov slips a jab and a cross from Hume.

Magomedov connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Hume lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Magomedov crumples to the floor! Hume milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
