The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McConnor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Erickson.
Erickson swings for the body but McConnor moves out of range.

McConnor pushes Erickson up against the cage in a clinch.

McConnor gets a trip takedown into half guard.

McConnor is working for a submission of some sort.

McConnor thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Erickson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McConnor on the ground.
Erickson has hold of McConnor's hands but McConnor slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McConnor working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Erickson is rocked!
McConnor lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Erickson! More strikes land and this one is all over! McConnor jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
