Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 21 - 4, fighting out of Montreal, Shia LaBeouf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lewis Lee!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee misses the body punch
and Lee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lee misses the jab.
LaBeouf is looking for a counter combo.
LaBeouf displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lee throws out the jab.
A punch combination from Lee misses.
It looked like LaBeouf was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
LaBeouf steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lee.
LaBeouf appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
A big left from Lee misses.
LaBeouf throws a big counter combination but Lee scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
LaBeouf scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lee has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Lee tries to clinch but LaBeouf is having none of it.
LaBeouf moves out of range of the strikes.
LaBeouf shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lee throws out a counter right but LaBeouf avoids it with no problem.
LaBeouf throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lee throws a combination that misses
letting LaBeouf counter with a right hand.
Lee falls off balance throwing a combination
and LaBeouf counters with a left to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A nice combination there by LaBeouf.
Lee connects with a nice looking jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
LaBeouf comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lee is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
LaBeouf checks a low kick from Lee.
Lee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but LaBeouf moves away.
Lee tries to bum rush LaBeouf with a series of wild strikes but LaBeouf uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lee throws a sloppy head kick and LaBeouf moves out of range easily.
Lee misses with a telegraphed body shot
and LaBeouf counters with a lovely straight right hand!
LaBeouf looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
LaBeouf lands with a straight right. Lee didn't see that one coming.
LaBeouf attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
LaBeouf changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but LaBeouf manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lee doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Lee throws a lazy uppercut
and LaBeouf counters with a two punch combo.
Lee swings widly with a right hand
and LaBeouf counters with a straight right hand.
LaBeouf uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lee.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
LaBeouf connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but LaBeouf circles away quickly and effectively.
LaBeouf was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
LaBeouf misses with a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee misses with a looping right.
LaBeouf throws a big counter combination but Lee scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

LaBeouf manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lee on his heels. He'll look to pass Lee's guard now, I'm sure.
Lee controls LaBeouf momentarily but LaBeouf frees himself.
LaBeouf looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


LaBeouf is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lee is aware though and is defending well.
LaBeouf wants to stand but Lee is controlling the position.

Lee is posturing up here but LaBeouf has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Lee tries to roll out but it's too tight and Lee has to tap! Slick submission there by LaBeouf!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Shia LaBeouf!
Shia LaBeouf managed to slip a mention for his sponsors, Sun-Tzu, into his post fight interview.
Lewis Lee was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm not even sure what I was trying to do tonight! Nothing felt natural at all!'.
