Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harold Shipman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shipman comes to the cage accompanied by The man that you FEAR . Archer comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Centuries kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Harold Shipman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Harold Shipman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Archer!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shipman scores with a takedown into Archer's guard.
Archer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Archer looking for a guillotine here but Shipman defends easily.
Shipman working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Archer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Shipman pushing down on Archer's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Archer told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Archer is looking for a sweep. Shipman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Shipman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Archer is just riding it out for now. Shipman eventually gives up the hold.
Shipman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Archer's head.

Shipman takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Archer is looking to improve his position.
Shipman is thwarting Archer's attempts to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Archer is staying active underneath Shipman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Shipman slips a nice elbow through Archer's hands, connecting with Archer's forehead.

Shipman is nestled in close to Archer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Archer is looking for a sweep. Shipman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shipman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Archer can't escape the position.

Archer sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Archer lands a nice shot that snaps Shipman's head back.
Archer tries to clinch but Shipman moves out of range.
Shipman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Archer circles away.
Shipman connects with a body shot that sends Archer's belly button to the back.
Shipman fails with the takedown.
Archer misses with a jab, cross combination.
A quick step to the side and Shipman tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shipman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Archer can do to turn this around?
Good leg kick by Archer there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
No luck for Shipman with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harold Shipman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A looping hook to the body misses from Archer. Shipman does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shipman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Archer as he jumps to the side.
Archer throws a jab when Shipman was well out of range.
Archer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Archer tries to clinch but Shipman moves out of range.

Shipman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Shipman shoots for a double leg takedown but Archer sprawls well. He's pushed Shipman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Harold Shipman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Archer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Archer landing strikes.
Shipman tries to bench press Archer off him but Archer keeps the position.
You can see the frustration on Shipman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Harold Shipman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Shipman can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Archer controls the pace.

Shipman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Archer defends it easily.

Shipman is trying to control but can't.
Still in half guard, Archer seems content to control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shipman tries to roll over but Archer keeps him under control.

Archer scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Archer thows a huge punch but Shipman dodges it nicely.

Shipman is in all sorts of trouble here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Shipman manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Still in half guard, Archer seems content to control.

Aaron Archer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Shipman shoots in and drives through. Archer sprawls well.

Shipman postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Archer looks a forlorn figure.

Shipman wants to control the pace but Archer is squirming around nicely.

Shipman fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Shipman pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Archer is still in real trouble! Can Shipman finish him?
Shipman lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Archer! Shipman sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Archer and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Harold Shipman!
An out of breath Harold Shipman thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
