Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Mannelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Mancine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Patrick Mannelly has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Patrick Mannelly seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mancine avoids the body shot from Mannelly.
Mannelly lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Mancine blocks a low kick nicely.
Mancine moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mannelly throws a shot from downtown. Mancine moves away and avoids it.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mancine has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Mannelly loads up on a big right hand but Mancine slips the punch.
Mancine's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mannelly connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mancine scrambles back to his feet.
Mancine finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A quick step to the side and Mannelly tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Mannelly cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
