PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Slitter Blade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ash Camble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Slitter Blade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ash Camble!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Camble listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Camble uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Blade.
Blade darts in looking for a takedown but Camble gets double underhooks and turns Blade into the cage.
Camble keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Camble lands a nice shot that snaps Blade's head back.
Camble bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Camble lands a lovely overhand right.
Camble connects with a single shot there.

Blade darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Well, if Blade is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Camble is looking for a sweep. Blade is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Blade decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Camble lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Blade misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Camble looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Camble connects with a looping right hand.

Blade drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Blade taking a breather here.
Blade working the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Blade looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Camble wants to control but Blade postures up.
Blade in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Blade stands up and we're back to a striking position.
A looping hook to the body misses from Camble. Blade does a little dance to reset his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Camble takes a swing at Blade's ribcage but misses.
Blade is trying hard to land a takedown here. Camble sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Slitter Blade. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Blade looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Blade throws a sloppy head kick
and Camble counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Camble works Blade's body with a nice hook.
Camble stuffs the takedown attempt from Blade. Blade gets slowly back to his feet.
Camble now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Blade shoots for a double leg takedown but Camble sprawls well. He's pushed Blade's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Camble is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Blade is breathing heavily.
Camble throws out a powerful jab.
Nice uppercut there from Camble.
Camble lands a jab to Blade's midsection.
Camble lands a nice looking body shot.

Blade scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Camble can't do much from the bottom here.
Camble throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Camble gets back to half guard.
Camble is trying to maintain the position but Blade is very close to passing his half guard.
Blade takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Camble really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blade. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Camble preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ash Camble dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Camble slips under a jab.
Blade throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
It seemed like Camble was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Blade's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Camble connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Blade scrambles back to his feet.
Camble has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jab, jab by Camble - just one landing.
Nice shot lands for Camble.
Camble lands with a nice body punch.
Camble is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Blade throws a head kick that misses.
Camble swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Blade tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Camble manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blade takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Blade tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Camble defends well and Blade ends up having to push Camble into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Camble tries to keep at a distance but Blade has taken the fight into the clinch.
Camble pushes Blade back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.


Blade is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Camble tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Oh Blade is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Camble manages to break the clinch.
Blade gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Camble gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ash Camble!
