Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Wilk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Adam Wilk!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilk throws a series of punches but Thomas avoids them all with ease.
Wilk throws a front kick aimed at Thomas's knee but Thomas avoids it well.
Wilk looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Thomas feinted with a counter takedown.

Thomas shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wilk napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Wilk can't do much from the bottom here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Thomas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Thomas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wilk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Wilk slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Thomas is controlling Wilk's posture.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wilk advances to half guard.

Wilk seems to be working for a kimura but Thomas defends the submission attempt.
Wilk is looking to advance position but Thomas won't allow it.
Wilk is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Thomas gets full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Thomas is on top in guard.

Thomas wants to get up but he can't break Wilk's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Wilk throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Thomas on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Thomas is trying to escape back to his feet but Wilk uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Wilk has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Wilk tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wilk has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Wilk decides to stand back up. Wilk steps back and let's Thomas get back to his feet.
Thomas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wilk manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Thomas closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wilk did well to prevent Thomas getting side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As Wilk looks to move away, Thomas throws a big counter combo but Wilk just gets out of the way.

Wilk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Thomas shoots in and drives through. Wilk sprawls well.
Thomas fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
