Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Police State (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Newmark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think State might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Die for Metal. Newmark is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: On the run. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newmark slips under a jab from State.
Newmark gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The fighters circling - Newmark throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Newmark uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from State.
State takes one to the side of the head.
State avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Newmark throws a looping overhand right but State ducks down to avoid it.
Newmark moves in looking to clinch but State pushes him off.
Newmark scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
State looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A telegraphed right hand from State misses the target.
State moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromNewmark.
State slips a jab from Newmark.
Bobby Newmark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Newmark lands a jab.
Newmark tries to close the distance and clinch but State swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
State tried to counter with a leg kick but Newmark avoided it.
State keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
State throws a body shot but no joy.
State misses with a hook.
State throws a jab when Newmark was well out of range.
Newmark walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. State checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Newmark takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Newmark attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
State scores with a leg kick.
State connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Newmark smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
State takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
State misses with a low kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Newmark looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Newmark jabbing away but nothing is landing.
State throws a push kick but Newmark slaps the foot to one side.
Crunch! State slams his shin into Newmark's torso.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

State manages to break the clinch.

State buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
State throws a head kick that misses.
State tries to land a leg kick but Newmark saw it coming and moves away.
That kick from State tenderised Newmark's leg. Newmark is trying to keep his angry face on.
A decent looking cross lands there for State.
State throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Newmark on the side of the head.
Newmark uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from State.
State avoids the body shot from Newmark.
State throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Newmark sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Newmark misses with a left hand
and State counters with a left and a right that stings Newmark.
A leg kick checked by State.
A solid leg kick lands there for Newmark.
State scores with a crisp jab that stopped Newmark in his tracks.

Newmark is rocked!
State is stalking Newmark. Newmark circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from State, and it's lights out! Newmark really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Police State!
A very excited looking Police State rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
