The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banicki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Morris tries to avoid it but Banicki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Morris to the ground. Morris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Banicki is defended easily by Morris.
Morris appears to be looking for a big counter.

Morris darts in and clinches Banicki up against the ropes.

Banicki drops back looking for a leg! Morris is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Morris manages to kick Banicki off! Banicki jumps back into Morris's guard.
Banicki passes Morris's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
