Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between De Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Big (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, De Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Big!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Big looking to pass the guard.
Alves wants to sweep but no luck.
Big throwing strikes but missing.
Alves bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Big's guard.
Big looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Alves is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Alves stopping the sweep attempt from Big.
Alves trying to control the position from guard on top but Big is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Big working for a triangle but Alves defends it easily.

Alves postures up and lands a big shot to Big's brow.
Big escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alves gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Alves wants to control from the top but Big keeps moving.
Big had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Alves is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Big Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Alves's back instead.
Big should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Big is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Alves knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Alves for a finish.
Big looks gassed!
Big is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Alves has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Alves is trying to break free.

Big is not going to allow Alves to sit and survive in this position.
Big is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Alves knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Alves for a finish.

Alves breaks Big's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Big keeping moving, preventing Alves from controlling successfully.
Big has his foot on Alves's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alves works his way back into a safe position though.
Alves advances position into side control!
Alves tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Alves is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Big is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Big is looking to reverse the position.
Big manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Big prevents Alves from improving his position.
Alves is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Big pulls his head out easily.
Big uses his free foot to push down on Alves's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Alves.

Big has control of Alves's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Alves regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Big is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Big!
