Christmas is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Oooooh!!! McGuire has knocked Christmas down with a huge combo! McGuire steps away and waves a wobbly Christmas back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Lloyd Christmas has been cut.
McGuire has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Thunder MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Christmas tries to close the distance and clinch but McGuire swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McGuire tried to counter with a leg kick but Christmas avoided it.
Christmas tries to clinch but fails miserably
and McGuire counters with a left to the body.
Christmas throws a lazy uppercut
and McGuire counters with a nice right hand that sends Christmas toppling to the canvas! Christmas scrambles and gets back to his feet - can McGuire finish him?!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Christmas moves to clinch but McGuire breaks away
and McGuire counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Christmas is still on wobbly legs! Can McGuire finish him?
Christmas looks winded!
McGuire darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Christmas's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles McGuire before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Michael McGuire!
After winning the bout, Michael McGuire thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
