Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Storm Shadow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shadow thows a left - swing and a miss!

Connor drives through and clinches with Shadow against the cage.
Shadow tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Connor jumps guard but Shadow stands there with Connor around his waist. Connor gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

No joy there for Shadow, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Connor shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shadow as he jumps to the side.
Connor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shadow's waist but Shadow gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Connor off to one side.

Shadow remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
