The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Rock connects with a high kick.

Sernas closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rock taking a bit of punishment here - Sernas scoring with strikes.
Sernas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sernas wants to stand but Rock has his arm trapped.

Rock has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Sernas has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Sernas tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Rock's elbow.
