Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Waldo Hensley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanders drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sanders chips away with some ground and pound.
Sanders trying to control the position from guard on top but Hensley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sanders won't allow Hensley to sweep him here.
Sanders throws a big right hand that misses.
Sanders throws a strike but Hensley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Sanders wants to stand but Hensley is controlling the position.
Hensley is standing up over Sanders. Sanders looks to escape but Hensley dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanders is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanders is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sanders can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sanders closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hensley's guard.

Hensley is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Sanders presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Hensley is looking to control Sanders's arms but Sanders gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hensley has his back to the cage.

Hensley is fighting off a takedown attempt but Sanders is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hensley to the mat. Hensley regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Sanders is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Oh Hensley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sanders must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Sanders gets to his feet and stands over Hensley, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Hensley felt that one! Sanders unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Hensley from any more punishment!
