The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a body punch but Nogueira moves out of range.
Jackson lands a glancing blow to the side of Nogueira's head.

It looks like Antonio Nogueira has been cut.
Nogueira slips a straight right by Jackson.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jackson.
Jackson working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nogueira slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Jackson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Jackson tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Nogueira decides to stand back up. Nogueira steps back and let's Jackson get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Nogueira shoots in and bounces Jackson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jackson looks gassed!
Nogueira is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jackson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Nogueira puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
