Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Vogel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Frankie Edgar has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kurt Vogel!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar leaves Vogel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Vogel has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Edgar finds it's way round the side to connect with Vogel's head.
Vogel drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Edgar misses with a few strikes there.
Edgar lands a nice leg kick that just misses Vogel's sensitive parts.
Edgar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Vogel tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Edgar slaps away a takedown attempt from Vogel, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Vogel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Vogel cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Vogel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Oh Edgar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vogel is landing with some decent strikes but Edgar is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vogel postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Edgar in real trouble here! The ref calls for Edgar to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
