Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hajime Susumu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevin Brooks is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hajime Susumu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Susumu misses with a body shot.
Brooks looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Brooks moves into the clinch.
Susumu manages to break the clinch.
Kevin Brooks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Susumu closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Susumu lands in his opponent's guard.
Susumu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brooks swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brooks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Susumu drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brooks manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Susumu has Brooks in his guard.
Susumu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Brooks won't allow Susumu to sweep him here.
Susumu had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Brooks is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Susumu Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Brooks's back instead.

Brooks is trying to get back to his feet but Susumu has full control of the position and if anything, Brooks has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Brooks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Susumu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Susumu tries to get the hooks in deep but Brooks pushed the leg off.

Susumu is not going to allow Brooks to sit and survive in this position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Brooks is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Susumu.
Susumu doesn't have the hooks in and Brooks manages to turn into his guard.

Brooks tries to bum rush Susumu with a series of wild strikes but Susumu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Brooks throws a head kick but Susumu moves out of range.

Brooks takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Susumu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brooks.

Brooks thows a body shot but no joy.
Brooks tries to close the distance and clinch up but Susumu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Susumu stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Brooks.

Brooks tries a head kick but it misses.
Brooks misses with the combination.

Susumu lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Brooks is breathing heavily.
Susumu uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brooks has time to react.
Susumu throws a body kick that misses.
Brooks throws a series of punches but Susumu moves out of range.
Susumu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Susumu can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brooks is looking to escape.
Brooks is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Susumu locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Brooks is forced to tap!
