The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayfield looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Curtis Mayfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mayfield throws a series of punches but Dominiguez avoids them all with ease.
Dominiguez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Dominiguez gets a clinch.

Mayfield escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mayfield fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dominiguez, pushing him back against the cage.

Dominiguez has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mayfield regains guard immediately.

Mayfield working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dominiguez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mayfield is tightening it up a little... Dominiguez has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Dominiguez reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Dominiguez taps out! Nice BJJ there by Mayfield!
