The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vizcarra lands a glancing blow to the side of Boets's head.
Boets has been working on his boxing with his coaches at St Petersburg MMA Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Vizcarra uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boets.
Boets lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Boets moves forwards but Vizcarra connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Vizcarra jabs Boets right on the nose. Boets blinks but takes it well.
Boets misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Boets throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vizcarra.

Boets ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Boets fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vizcarra manages to avoid it.
Boets tries to clinch up but Vizcarra circles away and keeps his distance.
Vizcarra takes a jab right on the kisser.
Vizcarra ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Boets misses with a series of wild punches.

Boets is looking to wear down Vizcarra with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Boets throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Vizcarra counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Boets fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vizcarra looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Boets changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Vizcarra rushes Boets and presses him up against the cage.
Vizcarra lands a knee to the body.

Boets wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Vizcarra has him pressed against the cage.

Boets breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Vizcarra.
Vizcarra keeps Boets at a distance using the push kick.
Vizcarra avoids the body shot from Boets.
A little jabbing left from Vizcarra on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Boets lands a two punch combo.
Boets is breathing heavily.
Vizcarra ducks under a wild hook from Boets.
Boets walks into a left hand.
Boets has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Boets there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Vizcarra scores with a counter punch that sends Boets to the canvas! Vizcarra smells blood - he's punishing Boets with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Boets has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Norman Vizcarra really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that LOPS 160q $149 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
