Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arnost Paskalev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arc Turian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paskalev kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Paskalev avoids the head kick by Turian.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Paskalev throws a leg kick which misses Turian's front leg but catches the back leg as Turian tries to avoid it.
A jab lands there for Turian.
Turian cracks a nice hook into Paskalev's ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Turian wants to clinch.
Paskalev feinted with a counter takedown.

Turian just misses with a punch to the body.
Turian throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Paskalev moves out of range of the body kick.
Turian throws a low kick but Paskalev moves out of range easily.
We've been hearing reports that Paskalev has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Turian misses with a jab, cross combination.
Turian tries to clinch up
and Paskalev counters with a single leg into guard. Turian didn't expect that.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Turian wants to stand but Paskalev is controlling the position.

Turian wants to get back to his feet but Paskalev is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

A slapping body kick lands there for Turian.
Turian cracks Paskalev with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Turian has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Paskalev.
Turian bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Paskalev moves out of range of the body kick from Turian.
Paskalev tries to counter with a takedown but Turian is quick to defend against it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Arc Turian dominated that round.
That's time! Paskalev's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Turian has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Paskalev.
Turian connects with a high kick.
Turian has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Turian is looking to land body kicks.
Paskalev quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Turian rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Paskalev moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Good leg kick by Turian there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Nice body punch from Turian.
Turian has managed to clinch.

Paskalev has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Turian uses from the top position.
Paskalev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Paskalev tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Paskalev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Turian gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Turian passes Paskalev's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Paskalev manages to get to full guard.
Turian is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Paskalev working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Turian doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Paskalev is tightening it up a little... Turian has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Turian reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Turian taps out! Nice BJJ there by Paskalev!
