Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sylvester Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ayush Tandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ayush Tandon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sylvester Quinn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sylvester Quinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ayush Tandon!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tandon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Quinn is trying to defend but Tandon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Quinn kicks off Tandon and gets to his feet.
Quinn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Tandon gets a takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tandon is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Quinn pushes Tandon off and gets back to his feet.
Ayush Tandon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tandon tries to close the distance and clinch but Quinn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Tandon shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tandon misses with a head shot. Quinn uses the momentum to regain guard.

Tandon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Tandon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Quinn is looking to stand up but Tandon isn't so interested in that idea.

Tandon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Quinn is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tandon, into his guard.

Quinn looking to sit in guard and control but Tandon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Quinn manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Quinn.
Quinn fails to pull guard.
Quinn is trying to pull guard but Tandon turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Quinn tries for a takedown but Tandon manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sylvester Quinn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tandon stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Tandon manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Tandon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Quinn trying to control the position from guard on top but Tandon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Quinn with a flurry of punches that miss.

Tandon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Quinn defends well.
Quinn lands a couple of elbows.
Tandon has momentary wrist control but Quinn slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Quinn wants to control from the top but Tandon keeps moving.

Tandon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Quinn works over Tandon with some ground and pound from guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Tandon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Quinn is looking to counter the offense by Tandon and move into the clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Tandon.

Quinn explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Tandon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Quinn throws a sloppy head kick and Tandon moves out of range easily.

Tandon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tandon lands in his opponent's guard.

Quinn kicks Tandon off and gets to his feet.
Quinn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tandon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Tandon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Quinn is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tandon, into his guard.

Quinn keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tandon's head.

Quinn is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Quinn wants to control from the top but Tandon keeps moving.
Quinn not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Quinn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Quinn lands a couple of elbows.
Tandon wants to stand up but Quinn is controlling him.
Quinn is working Tandon over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Tandon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Quinn's guard.

Quinn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Quinn prevents Tandon from improving his position.

Quinn seems to be looking for submissions.
Tandon on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Quinn is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Quinn wants to work for an arm triangle but Tandon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Tandon is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Quinn scores with a couple of nice shots.
Quinn looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tandon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Tandon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Quinn on his heels. He'll look to pass Quinn's guard now, I'm sure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Quinn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tandon is controlling him.

Quinn drives through and clinches with Tandon against the cage.

Tandon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Tandon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Quinn napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Quinn tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Tandon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quinn tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Quinn cracks Tandon with a solid left hand.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Quinn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tandon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Quinn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Quinn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
