Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macks scores with a one two! Cox had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Macks bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Cox manages to get back to half guard.
Macks missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Macks lands with a punch from half guard.
Cox regains full guard. Nicely done.
Cox looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Macks postures up in Cox's guard and throws a big left but Cox blocks it.
Cox could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Macks stops Cox from standing up.

Cox is looking for a triangle but Macks pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cox is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Cox is looking to stand up but Macks isn't so interested in that idea.
Macks is looking to work some ground and pound but Cox has wrist control.
Cox bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Macks's guard.

Macks striking off his back but it's not causing Cox any problems.

Macks wants to stand up but Cox is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macks wants to get back to his feet but Cox passes into half guard.
Macks tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Cox is nestled in close to Macks, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Cox decides to return to a standing position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Macks drives through and clinches with Cox against the cage.
Cox misses with a hook from the clinch.

Macks wants to get back to striking at distance but Cox won't allow it.
Cox lands a right hand.
Cox is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Macks is defending well for now.

Cox drops down looking for an ankle pick but Macks pulls his leg out and moves away.
Macks moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Macks tries to bum rush Cox with a series of wild strikes but Cox uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Macks lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Cox avoids a punch combination nicely.

Cox pushes Macks up against the cage in a clinch.
Macks has had enough of the clinch but Cox keeps him there for the moment.

Macks tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Cox keeps control of Macks as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Cox's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Macks drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cox gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cox has Macks pressed against the cage.
Cox tries a body shot but Macks blocks it.
Cox misses with some punches.
Macks tries to break free but Cox pushes him back against the cage.
Macks is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Cox is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Macks is defending well for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Leonel Cox will probably get the nod.
That's time! Cox's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Macks throws a series of strikes that have Cox backpedaling.
Macks's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cox under the eye.
Cox shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Macks defends it nicely.
Despite the aggression on Macks's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Macks is looking to sweep but instead, Cox has passed into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cox wants to work for an arm triangle but Macks is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Cox seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Macks is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
