Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Des Troyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn McLean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Troyer is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McLean's half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McLean can do anything to dispel that myth.
Troyer is nestled in close to McLean, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Troyer throwing shots but McLean is blocking nicely.

Troyer seems to be looking for submissions.
McLean is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Troyer missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Troyer can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McLean is looking to escape.
McLean is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Troyer is going oldschool here, as he tries to force McLean to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so McLean shrugs it off.

Troyer has control of McLean's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McLean regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Troyer can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McLean is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Troyer prevents McLean from getting the reversal.

Troyer wants to control the pace but McLean is squirming around nicely.

Troyer has hold of McLean's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and McLean manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Troyer is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, McLean has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Troyer swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and McLean is now in Troyer's guard. A big mistake from Troyer there, giving up the dominant position!

McLean throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Troyer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

It looks like Des Troyer has been cut.

Troyer pushes McLean off and scrambles back to his feet.

Troyer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Troyer is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Troyer with a flurry of punches that miss.
Troyer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McLean holds on and takes a little breather.

Troyer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

McLean feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Troyer sprawling to the canvas! Troyer rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can McLean finish him?!

Des Troyer's cut is getting worse.
Troyer throws a body punch but McLean moves out of range.
McLean lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Troyer is rocked!
Des Troyer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McLean grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Troyer takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! McLean cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
