Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Foo Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lynch comes to the cage accompanied by Suffa by Hed Pe. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Lucas Lynch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Foo Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Skip Squint and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lynch avoids it really well and circles away.
Fighter tries for a takedown but Lynch sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Lynch throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fighter was covering up waiting for the punch and Lynch finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lynch wants to control from the top but Fighter keeps moving.
Lynch throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Lynch wants to stand but Fighter has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Fighter throws a hook but Lynch avoids it easily.

Lynch forces Fighter back against the cage and clinches.

Some wild striking there from Fighter.

Lynch shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fighter is trying to defend but Lynch finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Lynch wants to take a breather but Fighter is having none of it.

Fighter regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Lynch.
Lynch's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lucas Lynch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lynch bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fighter's head backwards.
Fighter misses the jab.
Lynch misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fighter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lynch manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lynch throws a big counter combination but Fighter scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Fighter cracks Lynch with a right hand to the side of the head.
Lynch throws a right hand that Fighter ducks under and follows up with a left that Fighter also avoids with ease.
Sloppy strikes from Lynch. Those never looked like landing.
Fighter lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Lynch throws a series of punches but Fighter avoids them all with ease.

Lynch stuffs the takedown.
Lynch doesn't manage to clinch there - Fighter circles away.
Fighter misses with a shot to the body
and Lynch counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Lynch dips to his left and cracks Fighter with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lynch pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Fighter back to the cage. Lynch follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Foo Fighter has been cut.
Fighter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lynch goes for a double leg but Fighter avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fighter continues to drive forward.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Fighter crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lynch - the referee stops the clock and Fighter gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lynch. Fighter manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Fighter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lynch tries to land a front kick but Fighter steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Lynch wants to clinch but Fighter slips to the side

and Fighter counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Lynch pushes Fighter off looking to stand but Fighter dives back in and keeps control.
Lynch wants to improve his position but Fighter is controlling well.
Lynch regains full guard. Nicely done.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Fighter is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Lynch.

Lynch tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fighter paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lynch is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fighter is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Lynch working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Lynch decides to stand back up. Lynch steps back and let's Fighter get back to his feet.

Lynch is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fighter can do to turn this around?

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Lynch misses with a wild combination.
Lynch throws a right hand that Fighter ducks under and follows up with a left that Fighter also avoids with ease.
Donk. Fighter catches Lynch right on the button with a cross.
Fighter thuds a left hand into Lynch's body.

Fighter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Fighter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lynch walks away with a smile on his face. Fighter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Fighter throws a leg kick but Lynch moved away.
Nice takedown defense from Lynch. No joy for Fighter on that attempt.
Fighter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lynch tries to avoid it but Fighter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lynch to the ground. Lynch escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lucas Lynch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Foo Fighter.
Lynch goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lynch throws a left and a right that both miss

and Fighter moves into the clinch.
Fighter blocks an uppercut.
Fighter lands a body punch.

Fighter gets control of Lynch's arms and successfully pulls guard. Fighter will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Lynch passes into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fighter blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lynch.
Lynch with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Lynch looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Lynch thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fighter's head.

Lynch is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fighter wants to get back to full guard.
Lynch seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fighter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Lynch wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Fighter uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Lynch trying to control the position from guard on top but Fighter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lynch throws an elbow that misses. Fighter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lynch's guard. Nice move by Fighter!

Lynch controls Fighter momentarily but Fighter frees himself.
Fighter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Lynch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lynch tries to get out of the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fighter shoots for a takedown but Lynch saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A counter left hand to the body from Lynch misses its target.
Foo Fighter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lynch misses with a few strikes there.

Fighter misses with a low kick.
Fighter tries to land a front kick but Lynch steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Fighter gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fighter wants to stand up but Lynch is controlling him.

Lynch is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Fighter trying to keep a closed guard but Lynch is proving a slippery customer.
Lucas Lynch is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Fighter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lynch gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Foo Fighter.
I think Lynch has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
