PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Drago Satan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kabanos Swojski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swojski has chosen Die Toten Hosen - Hochzeitspolka as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swojski takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Kabanos Swojski has been cut.
Swojski looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Satan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Swojski napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Swojski is being controlled here.
Satan throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Satan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Swojski on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Satan tries for a kimura but Swojski is defending well.
Satan in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Satan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Swojski, who protects the arm well.
Swojski is looking to regain half guard here but Satan keeps moving and retains side control.
Satan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Satan is staying tight to Swojski's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Satan takes the fight into the clinch.

Drago Satan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Satan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Swojski on his heels. He'll look to pass Swojski's guard now, I'm sure.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Satan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Satan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Satan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Swojski is keeping the position for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Swojski tries to keep at a distance but Satan has taken the fight into the clinch.

Satan is looking for a triangle but Swojski pushes his legs off easily.

Swojski drops back looking for a leg! Satan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Satan manages to kick Swojski off! Swojski jumps back into Satan's guard.

Satan pulls Swojski in close to prevent any damage.
Satan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Swojski is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Satan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Satan has escaped and now he's on top!

Satan throws an elbow that misses. Swojski uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Satan's guard. Nice move by Swojski!

Satan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Swojski drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Satan dives on top into guard.

Satan stands and steps away. Swojski gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Satan has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Swojski clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Satan thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Satan is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Drago Satan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Swojski has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Satan.

Satan is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Swojski is defending well though. Satan let's go of the attempt for now.
Satan really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Swojski.

Satan rushes Swojski and presses him up against the cage.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Satan holds on and takes a little breather.

Swojski drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Swojski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Swojski is not content to let Satan control the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Satan tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Satan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Swojski's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Drago Satan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Satan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
