Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Ruus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matheus Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida has chosen boom boom pow as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Machida but Machida pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Machida misses with a double jab.

Machida shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Machida showed some decent athleticism there.
Machida lands strikes from half guard.
Ruus slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Machida is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Machida wants to control from the top but Ruus keeps moving.
Ruus controls Machida momentarily but Machida frees himself.
Machida really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ruus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Machida throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ruus works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Ruus looking for a triangle here. Machida is fighting it but it looks tight! Ruus pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Machida is tapping out - this one is all over!
