The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald needs to keep his hands up - Rockefeller had a free shot at his head there.
Rockefeller lands a lovely overhand right.

It looks like Maurice McDonald has been cut.
McDonald misses the shot to the body.
A low kick from Rockefeller is predictable there
and McDonald counters with a nice body kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from McDonald. Rockefeller does a little dance to reset his feet.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as McDonald checks a leg kick.
Rockefeller darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
McDonald punishes Rockefeller's body with a nice straight punch.
Rockefeller connects with a good right hand that stumbles McDonald. McDonald circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
McDonald throws a body shot but no joy.
Rockefeller keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McDonald.
McDonald takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rockefeller tries to counter by clinching up but McDonald breaks away and moves out of range.
Rockefeller moves forwards but McDonald connects with a nice, crisp jab.
McDonald swings for the body but Rockefeller moves out of range.
Rockefeller misses the shot to the body.
McDonald clobbers Rockefeller with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Rockefeller fails with the takedown.

McDonald lands a big uppercut and Rockefeller crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rockefeller looks OK. McDonald waves Rockefeller back to his feet!

It looks like James Dean Rockefeller has been cut.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! McDonald throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Rockefeller is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
