Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frankie Riggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jackson Enrique!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Enrique darts in and clinches Riggs up against the cage.
Riggs looking to throw knees to the head but Enrique is blocking nicely.
Riggs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Riggs lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Enrique is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Riggs tries a body shot but Enrique blocks it.
Enrique jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Riggs walks away with a smile on his face. Enrique gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Enrique looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Riggs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Enrique moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Riggs changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Enrique looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Enrique explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Horrible takedown attempt by Enrique or perhaps it was just good defense by Riggs, which made it look bad.

Enrique throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Riggs was covering up waiting for the punch and Enrique finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
