PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Stiglitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Ryno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stiglitz comes into the arena with I Gave You A Reach Around and This Is How You Repay Me? blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ryno closes the distance and clinches.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Ryno.
Ryno is trying to drag Stiglitz to the mat but Stiglitz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.
Stiglitz throws a punch but it's blocked by Ryno.

Ryno manages to break the clinch.

Ryno shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Stiglitz tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Ryno manages to move to mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stiglitz is looking to get to half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ryno tries to control but Stiglitz wriggling away.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Ryno goes for an armbar but Stiglitz turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Stiglitz.

Ryno is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Stiglitz lands a couple of elbows.
Stiglitz is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Ryno looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stiglitz is one step ahead there.
Stiglitz advances position into side control!
Ryno tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Stiglitz presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ryno tries to lock up and control but Stiglitz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Stiglitz has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ryno's face.
Stiglitz is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Ryno tries to hold on but Stiglitz postures up.
Ryno is desperately trying to improve his position but Stiglitz has a good base and remains in mount.
Ryno really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stiglitz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stiglitz lands a nice shot to the head.
Ryno keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stiglitz postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Ryno badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Stiglitz around the waist but Stiglitz pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Stiglitz is the winner by TKO! Stiglitz jumps onto the ropes and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
