And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mason Capwell!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capwell cracks a nice hook into Macintosh's ribs.
Capwell swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Macintosh feinted with a counter takedown.
Capwell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Capwell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Macintosh manages to avoid it.
Capwell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Capwell fails to land with a series of punches.
Macintosh shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Some wild striking there from Capwell.
Macintosh appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Capwell keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Capwell throws a hook to the side of Macintosh's head but Macintosh sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Capwell throws a right hand that misses
and Macintosh counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Capwell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Macintosh was well out of range. Poor timing from Capwell.
Macintosh appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Capwell thows a left - swing and a miss!
Capwell takes a swing at Macintosh's ribcage but misses.
Capwell misses with a few strikes there.
Capwell throws a hook to the side of Macintosh's head but Macintosh sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Macintosh slips a jab and a cross from Capwell.
Macintosh darts in looking for a takedown but Capwell gets double underhooks and turns Macintosh into the cage.
A looping hook to the body misses from Capwell. Macintosh does a little dance to reset his feet.
Macintosh changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Capwell throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Bud Macintosh has been cut.
Capwell lands a slapping body shot.
Good standup being displayed there by Capwell as he connects with a hook.
Macintosh keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Macintosh avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Macintosh changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Capwell misses with a lunging right hand

and Macintosh counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Macintosh's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Capwell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Macintosh wants to control from the top but Capwell keeps moving.

Capwell has control of Macintosh's left arm, preventing Macintosh from doing any damage.

Capwell gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Capwell is rocked!
A big strike lands for Macintosh! That's really hurt Capwell and he's turned his back - Macintosh keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Macintosh jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bud Macintosh!
A very excited looking Bud Macintosh made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
