The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem slips under a jab from Batroc.
Batroc throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Overeem blocks a jab.
Overeem misses with a body kick.
Batroc scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Overeem closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Batroc throws a head punch that misses.
Overeem misses with a knee strike.
Batroc misses with a hook from the clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for Overeem.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Batroc on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Overeem's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Batroc swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Overeem.

Overeem throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Batroc scores with a three punch combo!
Overeem goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

It looks like Georges Batroc has been cut.
Overeem takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Overeem moves forwards but Batroc connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Batroc moves out of range of the body kick from Overeem.
Batroc throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Overeem on the side of the head.

Overeem does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Overeem seems to have recovered his senses.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Overeem.
Overeem looks for the body kick but Batroc saw that one coming.
Overeem throws a body shot but no joy.
Overeem misses with a kick to the body.
Batroc rushes Overeem and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Overeem is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Batroc Piles on the pressure and Overeem crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
