A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Margera's choice of entrance music: Sail. Joey Nix could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bam Margera's chin.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nix looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Margera is fending him off so far but Nix persists. Nope, Margera circles away and we're back to standing.
Nix gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Margera.

Margera gets caught flat footed, as Nix shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Margera wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Nix manages to pass to side control.

Margera is defending against the submission attempts here by Nix.
Nix thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nix is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Nix throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nix seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Margera tries to kick Nix off but Nix keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Nix is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Margera defends it well.
Margera is looking to escape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Margera is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Nix scores with a couple of nice shots.
Nix is stalling here. Margera is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Nix seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Margera has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Nix tries to buck Margera off but Margera is having none of it.

Nix looks up at the clock and then as Margera takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Nix smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Nix decides to stand back up.
Nix lands with a straight right. Margera didn't see that one coming.

Nix will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Margera shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Margera was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nix takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Nix is not content to let Margera control the position.
Margera grinds an elbow into Nix's temple.
Nix is looking to reverse the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bam Margera will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nix buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Nix scores with a jab to the head.
Nix feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Margeras jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Margera fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Despite the aggression on Margera's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

It looks like Nix has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Margera looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nix is looking to counter punch.

Nix lands a big uppercut and Margera crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Margera looks OK. Nix waves Margera back to his feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nix lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nix dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Margera. That did some damage!
Nix is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Nix shuts the power down on Margera. Lights out, game over! Nix is your winner.
