The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mortaza shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Szyslak napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ground and pound from Mortaza seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Mortaza tries to score with some ground and pound. Szyslak controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Mortaza is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Szyslak knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Szyslak is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mortaza asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Mortaza is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Szyslak is trying to escape and Mortaza transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Szyslak is forced to tap! Nice work there by Mortaza! Very nice indeed!
