The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oslo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Garner sprawls well initially but Oslo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Garner kicks off Oslo and gets to his feet.
Dimitri Oslo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oslo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Garner sneaks out the side door and pushes Oslo away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Oslo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Garner is trying to defend but Oslo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Garner manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Oslo keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Garner is looking for a kimura but Oslo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Garner to get the leverage.
Oslo wants to stand back up but Garner manages to pass into side control.
Oslo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Garner has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Garner wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Oslo, who protects the arm well.

Garner has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Oslo is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Garner yanks on the arm and Oslo is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Garner.
