Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steven Malloy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Malloy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Next Contestant. Williams has chosen You're Going Down by Sick Puppies as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Williams!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Roberts and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Malloy throws a jab but it's blocked by Williams.
Malloy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Malloy thows a left - swing and a miss!

Williams scores a takedown into full mount!
Williams landing strikes, looking to finish!
Malloy wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Williams is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Williams cracks Malloy with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Williams has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Malloy's face.

Williams wants to finish this one by submission but Malloy is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Williams.
Malloy tries to hold on but Williams pushes him away.

Williams fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Malloy is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee warns Malloy that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Malloy tries to lock up and control but Williams gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Malloy manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Malloy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Williams on the ground.

Williams wants to work for an arm triangle but Malloy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Williams is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Williams is still in real trouble! Can Malloy finish him?

Malloy tries to free his leg and advance position but Williams is retaining full guard.
Williams seems to have recovered his senses.
Malloy with a nice head shot there.
Malloy trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom.
Malloy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Williams is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Malloy works over Williams with some ground and pound from guard.
Malloy looking to pass the guard.
Williams utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Malloy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Williams sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Malloy stalks Williams and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Williams's face. Williams staggers backwards, shaken.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Williams takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Malloy throws an overhand right that drops Williams like a sack of potatoes! Malloy dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steven Malloy!
