Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nate Lawliet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Oshiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawliet comes to the cage accompanied by Stetsasonic - On Fire. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nate Lawliet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oshiro tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lawliet swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Lawliet counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Oshiro tries to clinch but Lawliet is having none of it.
A quick step to the side and Lawliet tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Oshiro takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lawliet definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Lawliet throws a lazy right hand but Oshiro sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Oshiro wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A right-left combo lands from Lawliet.

Oshiro tries to clinch but fails miserably
letting Lawliet counter with a right hand.
Lawliet circles away from the clinch attempt
and Lawliet counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Lawliet lands a nice hook to Oshiro's body. Oshiro takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Lawliet tries to keep at a distance but Oshiro has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lawliet tries for a takedown. No joy.
A frustrated look appears on Lawliet's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Oshiro tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Lawliet tries to score a body lock takedown but Oshiro shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Oshiro obliges.
Oshiro blocks the elbow strike.
Oshiro working aggressively here.
Oshiro lands a body shot in the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Oshiro throws a knee to the head but misses.
Lawliet lands a left hand that snaps the head of Oshiro backwards.
Oshiro throws a punch but it's blocked by Lawliet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Oshiro keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lawliet's efforts to push away.
Lawliet has had enough of the clinch but Oshiro keeps him there for the moment.
Lawliet wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lawliet drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Oshiro gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nate Lawliet. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Oshiro tries to clinch but Lawliet moves away
and Lawliet cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Trey Oshiro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

so Lawliet counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Oshiro is rocked!
Oshiro wants to stand but Lawliet is controlling the position.
Oshiro is still in real trouble! Can Lawliet finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lawliet trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Lawliet controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Lawliet lands a couple of digs.
Lawliet stands and throws Oshiro's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Lawliet is trying to ground and pound but Oshiro uses the momentary lack of control by Lawliet to regain half guard.

Lawliet is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Oshiro doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lawliet.
Lawliet throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Lawliet scores with a big shot! Oshiro's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Oshiro! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
