Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between JJ Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Mellon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, JJ Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rock Mellon !
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mellon gets caught flat footed, as Jackson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Mellon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mellon wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position.
Jackson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mellon is proving hard to escape from.
Mellon is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson trying to control but Mellon is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mellon parries the strikes from Jackson easily there. Jackson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mellon to escape.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jackson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Mellon knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Mellon for a finish.

Mellon shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed Mellon 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mellon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Mellon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Jackson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Mellon uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Jackson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Jackson winds up and cracks Mellon with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Jackson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Mellon is looking for a triangle but Jackson pushes his legs off easily.

Jackson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mellon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mellon has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mellon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Mellon stalling away here and it's allowed Jackson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Mellon controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Mellon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Rock Mellon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
JJ Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Rock Mellon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
