Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fabrici Gorfal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Rabago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Fabrici Gorfal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryan Rabago!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gorfal.
Rabago throws a series of punches but Gorfal moves out of range.

Rabago tries to stall but Gorfal uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Gorfal has picked Rabago up - he's going for a ride! Gorfal dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Rabago makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gorfal is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rabago can't fight it off and eventually Gorfal manages to take the fight to the floor. Rabago looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rabago can't keep his opponent in guard - Gorfal advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Gorfal is working for a submission of some sort.
Rabago is staying active underneath Gorfal, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Gorfal working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rabago lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Rabago gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gorfal.

Rabago escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gorfal shoots in looking for a takedown. Rabago tries to sprawl out of it but Gorfal keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rabago manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rabago manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Gorfal keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Rabago stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Rabago will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Gorfal up against the cage.

Rabago is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Gorfal presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Come on Rabago - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Rabago has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gorfal is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Gorfal darts in looking for a takedown but Rabago gets double underhooks and turns Gorfal into the cage.
Rabago tries to counter by closing the distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gorfal has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rabago after a bit of a struggle.

Rabago comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Oh Gorfal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!


Fabrici Gorfal's cut is getting worse.
Rabago creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Gorfal's defenses.
Gorfal is pressed against the cage. Rabago pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Gorfal! Two more big strikes from Rabago and Gorfal crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Ryan Rabago!
