PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tim Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JB Brubaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hansen comes into the arena with AC/DC - Big Gun blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brubaker slips a jab and a cross from Hansen.

It looks like JB Brubaker has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hansen crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Brubaker - the referee stops the clock and Hansen gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Brubaker. Hansen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Brubaker. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The fighters circle, before Brubaker throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Hansen's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Brubaker lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

JB Brubaker spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
