PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heisenberg White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green comes into the arena with Raining Blood blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Heisenberg White enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green fails with a takedown attempt.
Green goes for a double leg but White avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as White continues to drive forward.

Green shoots in looking for a takedown. White tries to sprawl out of it but Green keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. White manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Green thows a huge punch but White dodges it nicely.

Green slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Green throws a big elbow that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Green accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

White keeping full guard, as Green tries to pass.

Green won't allow White to get back to his feet.
Green tries to free his leg and advance position but White is retaining full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
White is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Green is controlling him.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

White connects with a looping right hand.
White connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Green momentarily.
White keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

White connects with a good right hand that stumbles Green. Green circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
White lands a lovely overhand right.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Green with a poor takedown
and White cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Green shoots in looking for a takedown. White tries to sprawl out of it but Green keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. White manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Green takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
White connects with the punch.
Green walks into a stiff left hand from White.

Green has his takedown stuffed
and White cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Oh Green is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Green shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and White counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Green thinking.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heisenberg White dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Green will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Green seems to have got his legs back now.

White flicks out a counter leg kick but Green steps away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Green. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts White, as that shot connected.
Green looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Oooooh!!! White has knocked Green down with a huge combo! White steps away and waves a wobbly Green back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Matt Green has been cut.
White dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Green looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? White is fending him off so far but Green persists. Nope, White circles away and we're back to standing.
White might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Green shoots and misses
and White counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Green out cold! What a finish! White is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
